FoodCloud is a technology-driven social enterprise that tackles food waste and hunger at the same time. It operates a platform that connects food businesses, such as supermarkets and restaurants, with excess food to local charities and community groups in need. The initiative does not only address hunger, but also promotes environmental sustainability by diverting edible excess food from landfills. Collaboration with local businesses is a key component of FoodCloud’s success, and its engagement with volunteers and young people strengthens its social impact.
